A therapist who gets it

Hi, I’m Freya Bronwin. I appreciate that it can take time, energy, and courage to get to this point, so I’m glad you’re here.

I'm a qualified Systemic Psychotherapist (AAFT) who supports individuals, families, and teams through change.

I have a special interest in working with runners and other everyday athletes who feel that movement and exercise is a core part of their identity. As an ex-rower and keen runner, I understand how injury can threaten your sense of self, how results can influence your perception of your self-worth, and how powerful the grip of exercise can be as a tool to manage your mind and body.

I have also experienced the difference that meaningful support can make. I believe wholeheartedly that therapy can be a powerful force to feel more hopeful and connected to your self, your strengths, and the people that matter most in your life.

If you’re curious to explore what working together could look like, reach out for a free 15 minute call. You’ve made it this far, we can navigate the rest together.

How does it work?

  • "I came for support with an injury and I found a lot more. Freya has helped me to rediscover my zest for my sport and expand what running means to me, aside from achievement. Through our sessions I’ve gained a lot of insights across a number of life domains. I’ve refined my vision for my future in sport and in my professional and personal life. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an empathic, attuned and knowledgeable sports psychotherapist".

  • Reframe Sessions have helped settle my mind during one of my most challenging times of my life recovering from injury. On many days, it’s been a case of mind over matter, and speaking with Freya has helped me steer my mind to actually stimulate my healing rather than impede it.

  • “Recovering from an injury is not just physical, it’s psychological. Understanding your thoughts, reframing your mindset and connecting with those who’ve gone through it is invaluable. Freya understands this first hand. Reframe Sessions are a must-have for anyone recovering from an injury to come back stronger mentally and physically.”

    Grace, KXTC Run Lead

  • Recovery from an injury can be really challenging on more than just a physical level. Even once we have done all the rehab in the world there’s often anxiety and stress that the injury might happen again. For a lot of injuries, this is the biggest barrier of all. Getting guidance and support with the psychological side is something we strongly encourage and should be promoted in all healthcare!

Beau, Physio at the Running Room

  • Reframe sessions were very helpful in navigating my injury and helped me to find light and hope during difficult times. Freya was extremely attentive, insightful and asked questions that transformed my 'relationship' with my injury. I always felt safe, respected and valued. Would very much recommend to see her.
