A therapist who gets it
I appreciate that it can take time, energy, and courage to get to this point. I’m glad you've made it here!
I am a qualified Systemic Psychotherapist (Masters of Clinical Family Therapy, AAFT) over a decade of experience working with individuals, families, teams, and organisations to create positive change.
I’m endlessly curious about what makes us tick, what influences the stories, beliefs, and relationships that play out, and what helps us feel agency in our own lives. I believe wholeheartedly that therapy can be a powerful force to feel more hopeful and connected to your self, your strengths, and the people that matter most in your life.
Originally from the UK, I now live on Gadigal and Bidjigal land, Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. I draw on experience from a range of settings; including frontline services (NHS, Samaritans), community services (WAYS Youth & Family), and creative corporate worlds (Google, BBC, ad agencies).
If you’re curious to explore what working together could look like, reach out for a free 15 minute call. You’ve made it this far, we can navigate the rest together.
Why I work with runners
I have a special interest in working with runners and other everyday athletes who feel that movement and exercise is a core part of their identity. As an ex-rower and keen runner myself, I understand how injury can threaten your sense of self, how results can influence your perception of your self-worth, and how powerful the grip of exercise can be as a tool to manage your mind and body.
I started Reframe Sessions because I saw first hand how much active people were struggling with the psychological side of injury and high expectations, without the right space to talk about it. Therapy with me is not about diagnosing you as the problem. It’s about unpacking your story, exploring what matters to you, and building stories, tools, and strategies that actually work in the messy middle of life.
My approach (how I work)
You don’t need to be in crisis to start therapy. This is an opportunity to set yourself up for success wherever you are. A space to get curious about what makes you tick, reconnect with your values, and build trust in yourself and your capacity to steer a way through.
I draw on Systemic therapy, Narrative practices, Solution-focused therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Sports Psychology.
The different types of therapy can be very confusing, so if this means nothing to you, I remember that feeling too! If you’d like to discuss more, I’m happy to share my take. In a nutshell, the approach I take means we look at the bigger picture - not just what’s happening in you, but also around you. I am a great believer that everything we do, we do for good reason. I find that is a great place to start from.
Together, we slow things down, notice what’s shaping your patterns, and find new ways to move forward.
