Fuck off. This isn’t going to stop me from doing what I want to do. Each time you push me, I’ll push back even harder. I see what you’re trying to do, but I’m stronger than you think.

At the same time, thank you. You have been my opportunity to grow. I have met parts of myself I may not have otherwise discovered – resilience, grit, patience. Because of you, my life has been impacted in many ways, but not how you intended. Instead, my journey has been scattered with silver linings – so thank you.

You have been loud at times, but I am louder. You may have tried to define me, but I define myself.
